A few words about Mariam
As the founder of KinArmat and creator of the innovative '360 Lens on DEI' model, she has helped numerous organizations redefine their DEI strategies.
Recognized as one of Belgium's top 40 societal leaders under 40 and a Salzburg Global Seminar fellow, Mariam has made significant strides in championing DEI initiatives. Whether it's through her compelling keynotes, her role as the executive director of the non-profit, A Seat At The Table, or her active participation in global platforms like the Global Shapers Antwerp Hub - an initiative of the World Economic Forum, Mariam continues to inspire and guide a diverse audience towards an inclusive future.
She is also engaged in a project by the Flemish government, Expertendatabank.be. This initiative aims to elevate diverse voices, ensuring their perspectives are heard in media and congressional venues, and fostering a more inclusive representation in public discourse.
As a Strategic Advisor, Mariam specializes in crating and implementing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategies for organisations.
Recognizing the multifaceted nature of DEI, she developed the '360 Lens on DEI' model, a holistic approach that integrates DEI across all aspects of a business. This model is incorporated through a five-step process that she designed, providing a clear roadmap for organizations aiming to transform their operations and culture. Mariam's advisory work extends beyond planning; she actively supports organizations on their journey towards becoming truly inclusive, helping them navigate challenges and ensure lasting impact. Her unique blend of strategic insights, passion for DEI, and hands-on approach has made her a trusted partner for organizations aiming to drive meaningful change.
Her commitment to fostering inclusive societies is exemplified in her role as the Executive Director of A Seat At The Table (ASATT), a non-profit organization based in Belgium.
ASATT creates a unique platform to advance young, diverse talent in our society through weekly leadership, entrepreneurship and mentoring programs. Under Mariam's leadership, ASATT has organized high-impact study trips to global hubs such as New York, London, Paris, Seoul, and Tokyo, fostering meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas between emerging talents and CEOs.
Mariam has played a pivotal role in launching transformative initiatives like 'The Future Women Leaders Fellowship' and 'Women in STEM' program, sponsored by the Coca-Cola Foundation and AstraZeneca respectively. These programs are instrumental in empowering young women. Her successful management of the 'Work in Tech' program, a Google.org initiative, further exemplifies ASATT's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion. Under Mariam's direction, ASATT continues to expand its reach, bridging gaps, catalyzing change and amplifying its impact.
